THESSALY, Koinon of Thessaly. temp. Nero. AD 54-68. Æ Diassarion (20mm, 6.23 g, 1h). Laouchos, strategos. EIPHNH ΣEBAΣTH [ΘEΣΣ]AΛΩN, draped bust of Eirene right, wearing wreath of grain ears and olive branch / ΛAOVXO-V C-[TPA-THΓOV], Nike standing left on globe, holding wreath in extended left hand, cradling palm frond in right arm. Burrer Em. 2 (of Nero), Series 6, Grp. 1, 100 (A37/R69); RPC 1451. Near VF, dark green patina; very rare, especially this nice.
